Lower Cape May Regional High School senior basketball player Ashley Jackson has become the latest member of the 1,000-point club.
Needing nine points to reach the milestone, Jackson fired in 19 points in Friday’s 53-47 win over Holy Spirit. Winter Favre added 11 points and Lindsay Holden chipped in nine in the win over the Spartans.
Jackson then scored six points in a 47-30 loss to Shore Regional at the War with the Shore showcase event at Mainland Regional High School on Saturday. Favre led Lower Cape May (7-13) with 10 points in the loss.
Jackson enters this week with 1,016 career points.
