Lower Cape May's players and coaches stand at attnetion during the playing of the National Anthem prior to Monday's lacrosse game against Mainland.
The Lower Cape May Regional High School boys lacrosse team dropped a 14-7 decision to Mainland Monday afternoon at Frank Simonsen Field.
Chuckie Magill, Gavin Staley and Nico Castellano each scored two goals and Branden Smith added a goal for Lower Cape May (10-4). Cameron Leslie made seven saves in goal.
Colin Cooke scored six goals to lead Mainland (9-5).
The game was played as part of Lower Cape May’s “Salute to Service Day.” Active and veteran members of the military were honored at all home athletic contests.
