The Middle Township High School girls lacrosse team is continuing to enjoy a special season.
The Lady Panthers ran their record to 13-1 with Tuesday’s 20-5 victory over Atlantic City. Kira Sides netted six goals and dished four assists and Maddie Barber added three goals and five assists in the win. Alexa Hirsch chipped in three goals and Libby Bostard and Aubrey Hunter each added two. Amelia Slick stopped four shots in goal.
Barber, a junior, hit a milestone one day earlier, recording her 200th career assist in Monday’s 22-6 win over Egg Harbor Township. Barber had four goals and three assists in the contest . She now has 207 helpers in her career. Kira Sides netted 10 goals to lead Middle. Slick had seven saves in goal.
Middle’s lone loss this season came in a 20-10 defeat in a non-league game at Haddonfield last week.
Middle has already clinched the Cape-Atlantic League’s National Conference title. This is the first season the CAL has split into two conferences for girls lacrosse.
