The following are results from recent games played by Cape Express youth soccer teams:

GIRLS

U8 Cape Express Rage vs. Highland: The Rage helped teammate Liza Matthews score three goals against Highland. Jaclin Adams and Kennedy Kurkowski kept the pressure on Highland’s goalies. The defense was led by Brianna Quinn and Sheilla Clifford. Zoey Fisher and Sheilla Clifford combined for 15 saves in goal.

U11 Burlington Cobras 2, Cape Express Mayhem 1: Aubrey Bradway set up Maggie Staino for the Mayhem’s goal. Solid defense by Maggie King, Peyton Bernacki and Madelyn Burns kept Cape in the game until the very end.

U13 Cape Express Sirens 2, Upper Township Wildfire 2: The Sirens dominated the first half keeping the ball in Uppers end but could not put anything in the net. Despite playing very tight defense, led by Riley Deignan stepping into center back role due to injuries, the Sirens went into the half down a goal after a quick counterstrike by Upper right before the whistle. Early in the second half Sophia Smith blasted a shot into the top of the net from 20 yards out to tie the game. Upper went up 2-1 midway through the half. The game ended with a series of corner kicks in Upper’s end. The first two were knocked out of bounds but Smith put the third corner chance right in the middle, where Julia Deignan tied the game as the whistle blew.

U14 Cape Express Crush 5, Burlington Township Heat 1: The Crush controlled possession for most of the game keeping the to one goal. The offense dominated the game and put in five goals due to great passes and even better finishes.

BOYS

U10 Cape Express Surge vs. Marlton: The Surge battled from two goals down to take a brief lead until Marlton scored twice in the final four minutes.
