Cape May County youth hockey champions

Purdy Realty — Cape May County Youth Hockey League grades 1-4 champions

The Cape May County youth hockey league based in Middle Township recently completed its 2021 season.

The following are the league champions in each of the three age divisions:

Grades 1-4: Purdy Realty won the championship by sweeping Long and Foster Realty in a best-of-three series. Purdy Realty players include Joey Butler, Ben Davis, Adam Djoufelkit, Elyas Djoufelkit, Ryan Djoufelkit, Amelia Larson, Max Mansor, EJ Scott, Joey Walker, Aiden Webster, Brendan Zane and Michael Zane. Coaches were Joe Butler, Michael Zane and Earl Scott.

Grades 5-8: Wilhelm Roofing beat Hand Excavation in two straight games to win the championship. Players from Wilhelm Roofing include Jason Breakell, Owen Galvin, Jackson Goss, Layla Hagan, Kurt Himstedt, Tyler King, Logan Leith, Caden Newton, Louis Taylor, Connor Thompson, Bryce Ziegler and Zain Ziegler. Coaches were Kurt Himstedt and Bud Ziegler.

High school: Texas Roadhouse swept a best-of-three series over Jersey Cape Door to win the championship. Players from Texas Roadhouse include Ryan Hearon, Ethan Leith, Travis McCray, Shane McGlaughlin, Sean McNaughton, Cole Roden, Brad Rothenbiller, Nick Scioli, Kaleb Williams and Denny Shiffler. Coaches were Jason Hearon and Roger Leith.
