Tanner Oliva of the Cape May Tech baseball team is the first CoastSportsToday.com Male Athlete of the Week of the 2021 spring sports season.
A freshman pitcher, Oliva tossed a six-inning one-hitter to lead the Hawks to a 10-0 win over county rival Lower Cape May on Friday. Oliva conceded only a first-inning single.
Oliva also shined at the plate. He singled, doubled and drove in five runs in the win.
Oliva has three hits and seven RBI through his team’s first three games.
