Ocean City High School twin seniors Hunter Paone and Trevor Paone have also been named state Group III all-stars by the Soccer Coaches Association of New Jersey.
The Paone brothers join three others from Cape May County who were also selected. One was their teammate, Matt Brook. The others were Wildwood’s Tyler Tomlin and Corlen Vallese, who were Group I selections.
Hunter Paone led the Raiders in goals scored with 11 and also added six assists. Trevor Paone was tied for second on the team with 10 goals. He also chipped in six assists.
The Paone brothers helped Ocean City finish 15-5-1 and win the inaugural Cape-Atlantic League playoff tournament.
The three Ocean City players and the two Wildwood players will be honored, along with the rest of the SCANJ all-stars, at a banquet on Jan. 6 in Edison.
