CoastSportsToday Female Athlete of the Week: Kate Herlihy, Middle Township

Kate Herlihy of Middle Township High School is the latest CoastSportsToday.com Female Athlete of the Week.

A senior on the field hockey team, Herlihy combined for two goals and two assists in Middle’s recent victories over Mainland and Atlantic City. Herlihy leads Middle in goals with 12 and assists with seven through nine games so far this season, helping the Lady Panthers to a 7-1-1 record entering Wednesday’s game against Lower Cape May. She has scored 88 goals and produced 25 assists for her four-year career thus far.

Herlihy is also a career 1,000-point scorer in basketball and is also a standout on the girls lacrosse team.
